“Fast forward” into the future: EFAFLEX stands for 50 Years of Sustainability
There is currently no getting around the topic of sustainability in the corporate world – for good reasons. While many companies have only recently been considering the question of how they can reconcile their activities with social and ecological responsibility, EFAFLEX has been finding answers for 50 years.
The motto of this year’s EFAFLEX anniversary is “Fast Forward.” There are many characteristics that characterise the company – for example high speeds, drive for innovation and efficiency. However, the motto also reflects something else: a constant look to the future. It’s not just about developing more and more modern products or strategic foresight. The awareness that today’s actions form the basis for tomorrow’s possibilities has always been firmly anchored in EFAFLEX’s corporate philosophy. Sustainability is therefore not only understood here as an obligation to legislators, but as a prerequisite for integrity in economic activity.
Prime example of a sustainable Value Chain
Speaking of transport: Every shipping route is carefully checked in advance to identify the most resource-efficient and therefore environmentally friendly delivery route. In addition, the PE films, which protect the products during transport, are partially recycled and reusable. However, at EFAFLEX, recovery and the idea of a circular economy are not limited to transport alone. The world market leader’s doors can also be recycled according to type. This is made possible by high-quality materials and an intelligent design that, in addition to factors such as performance efficiency, longevity and reliability, also always takes sustainability into account.
How EFAFLEX helps Customers achieve more Sustainability
Through its own sustainability alone, EFAFLEX indirectly enables its customers to improve their ecological footprint. In addition, EFAFLEX products also help very directly: Because the doors open and close so quickly, the loss of heat or cold between the separated areas is reduced to a minimum. The top insulation of the doors achieved through leak testing, consideration of thermal bridges and optimal insulation thickness does the rest to enable customers to make enormous savings in energy consumption. Customers can thus avoid up to two tons of CO2 per year with EFAFLEX high-speed doors. Added to this are the low operating costs, which result from the high energy efficiency of the doors.
The products are also extremely durable; after all, EFAFLEX has stood for quality for 50 years. But because sustainability is also an integral part of the brand’s core, the already above-average product life cycle can be extended, or rather renewed: If necessary, the company’s service technicians repair the door for a “second life cycle”, thereby helping to reduce costs and resources to save equally.
Social and Corporate Responsibility
For EFAFLEX, however, sustainability is not just limited to environmental and climate protection. Instead, social, and economic sustainability are also among the criteria by which the company bases its thinking and actions. The company fulfils its social responsibility through comprehensive youth and young talent support, involvement in a variety of associations, clubs, and projects, as well as various sponsorships and fundraising campaigns. As a family business, EFAFLEX sees itself as committed above all to its most important resource: its employees. An open, honest, and positive working atmosphere plus unconditional investments in the promotion of employees (for example in the form of health and further training offers) are the key to loyalty and satisfaction for the solution provider.
Together with the entire workforce, EFAFLEX is also making efforts to continually improve sustainability within the company itself: more and more processes are becoming paperless, the digitalization of administration is in full swing and electromobility is being promoted with its own charging stations. In this way, EFAFLEX not only lays the foundation for five more decades of corporate success, but also for a world in which this can take place. Because “Fast Forward” means constantly moving towards the future, but also having an awareness of the challenges of the present.
