EFAFLEX founder Manfred Seysen dies at the age of 87
EFAFLEX mourns the death of founder and partner Manfred Seysen.
The high-speed roller shutter door manufacturer EFAFLEX mourns the loss of its founder and partner Manfred Seysen, who died on 03.11.2024 at the age of 87. He founded EFAFLEX together with Gustav Meyer and Gabrijel Rejc in 1974. Seysen took over the “Doors Department”, which rapidly gained momentum with the development of high-speed doors. With EFAFLEX, Seysen and Rejc had a significant influence on the development of the market, particularly through the development of the patented spiral door.
The company matured into the world market leader. In 1986, Seysen finally took over the position of Managing Director Sales, which he handed over to his son Christopher in 2002. But even after retiring from his active role, he remained closely associated with his company, which now has over 1,400 employees worldwide. He was a regular and welcome guest at the headquarters in Bruckberg, where he continued to work extensively and intensively on high-speed doors in order to keep his finger on the pulse of the times.
Manfred Seysen was born in Gütersloh/Westphalia in 1937, where he completed his secondary school education. He then completed an apprenticeship as a machine fitter. This was followed by a degree in engineering and then a career in engineering. This brought him to Moosburg in 1964, where Seysen worked for the Steinbock company in field service and sales promotion.
Manfred Seysen is survived by three children and his wife. The EFAFLEX company is deeply saddened and will honour the memory of its founder and partner.
