We want to ensure CO₂ neutrality in the medium to long term. Every year, we get one step closer to this goal.
Process optimization and energy savings are just as much a part of our measures as green investments. That’s why we operate PV systems and are constantly expanding our e-charging network for electric and hybrid vehicles.

Our goals for a better environment
Reduction in the amount of purchased electricity
We want to reduce our ecological footprint and are therefore continuing to drive forward our own energy generation. We have installed and commissioned PV systems at our two sites in Bruckberg and the Czech Republic.
Conscious choice of power supply
As electricity generation from renewable energies has a comparatively low impact on the environment, we almost exclusively use green electricity for our sites.
Reducing fuel consumption
We pay attention to the efficient use of resources in our vehicle fleet: many electric and hybrid vehicles are already on the road used in in Germany and we are also testing new vehicles in the Czech Republic for their fuel efficiency.
How we reduce direct emissions
We have been calculating our carbon footprint in accordance with the Greenhouse Gas Protocol Corporate Standard (GHG Protocol) since 2021 – with Scope 1 accounting for the largest factor at EFAFLEX at 56%. We have succeeded in reducing this by 18.4% since 2021. Of course, we are continuing to work on further reducing our emissions in all 3 scopes.

Photovoltaic systems at two locations
With our PV systems at two locations, we can cover the electricity needs of 191 three-person households for a year.

We are already thinking about tomorrow today
Together with the “Prima Klima” organization, we planted a tree in Lower Saxony for each of the 755 stand visitors at the BAU 2023 trade fair. This creates a healthy mixed forest that stores CO₂ and counteracts climate change. We are also investing in the sustainability awareness of the next generation. An area of 51,300 m² has already been planted with this school forest project!
EFAFLEX drives sustainably
At EFAFLEX, 25 charging points for electric and hybrid vehicles are available at various branches throughout Germany. Not only can company vehicles be charged, but all employees are permitted to charge their private vehicles here free of charge.
